Helping Halfords to ride high

Carrera is one of Halfords’ own cycle brands. With sales of their kid’s range in decline, the brief was to redesign the branding to better support the premium and more technologically advanced nature of the products, whilst adding impact and being more relevant to the target market than previous Carrera designs.


The solution took cues from kid’s popular culture, and included the creation of a technology themed sub-brand – ‘c-tech’ – along with scientific-style icons and graphics to help add impact, desirability and fun.

The new range resonated with the audience, with sales rising sharply after launch and demand outstripping supply on some models.
